First Service Appointment Training Reminder

Are you enrolled in Hyundai’s First Service Appointment training? It’s a one-day classroom program being held in May and June at locations throughout the United States. Its purpose is to help you turn new buyers into loyal service customers, beginning with their first appointment.

During May and June only, participants who are not certified will earn credit toward Bronze-level certification. Simply attend First Service Appointment, complete our 30-minute Welcome to Hyundai Service web-based course, and you’ve earned Bronze . . . and 3,000 STAR Award points. Already certified? You’ll earn 3,000 points by attending First Service Appointment.

MPA Damage and Claim Reduction Initiatives

Over the course of several months, MPA has been working diligently on various fronts to improve delivery condition of your parts shipments and reduce incidents of damages.

Listed below are some of the initiatives that are currently underway:

Battery Core Charge Price Change Reminder

Effective May 1, 2012, the core charge for Hyundai batteries changed from $12.00 to $16.00 per core.

Battery Core Price Change Summary

  • Dealers will be billed $16.00 for each battery core that is not returned.
  • Dealers are responsible for returning a battery core on a one-for-one basis for each battery purchased/delivered.

Your Interstate Battery Route Manager will provide you with a receipt for the quantity of batteries delivered and the quantity of battery cores picked up.

Hyundai Motor America will reconcile battery core balances for each dealer based on the deliver/core pick-up receipts and any outstanding balances (credits or debits) will be posted on the dealer’s Parts Statement the following month.


PDC Memorial Day Closures

All Mobis Parts America Parts Distribution Centers, along with the Dealer Parts Support Center, will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2012 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

All orders will be processed as follows:

Emergency Orders

  • Orders input by 3:00 p.m. local PDC time on Friday, May 25 will be processed and shipped the same day.
  • Orders entered after 3:00 P.M. local PDC time on Friday, May 25 will be processed and shipped on Tuesday, May 29.

Stock Orders

  • All stock orders scheduled for input on Monday, May 28 should be input on Friday, May 25. These orders will be processed and shipped on Tuesday, May 29.
