Dealer to Dealer B/O Referral Program
HMA is working with OEConnection and FedEx to take backorder referrals to the next level, enabling dealers to ship to other dealers when we are on national backorder. This process will be easy to use, and profitable to shipping dealers through incentive payments paid by HMA for most shipments made through D2D. HMA will also handle all crediting, invoicing, and freight payment.
We’re planning to pilot the new system in late February with full rollout in mid-March. When we get closer to launch we’ll provide dealers with comprehensive information and training.
In order to participate in D2D, every dealer must have an active FedEx account. This is necessary to route orders for pickup by FedEx, but actual shipping costs will be paid by HMA directly.
Over the next 2-3 weeks, FedEx will be calling every Hyundai dealer that does not have a FedEx account. You will be asked to open a FedEx account and send-in the FedEx Service Agreement. This account is required to participate in D2D; however, your dealership also gets the additional benefit of substantially reduced rates for all your normal shipping needs as part of the FedEx Hyundai dealer program.
When you are contacted by the FedEx representative, please be sure to sign-up so that we can include you in D2D when we launch in early 2008.
