Dealer to Dealer (D2D) Backorder Referral
All Dealers
Dealer to Dealer backorder referral has arrived and will launch with 100 dealers on a pilot basis on Monday, April 7th. The pilot will last one month to ensure that the system works as planned. Then it will roll out to all dealers starting May 5th. The system, “D2D Express”, is managed by a third party vendor—OEConnection.
Through the use of D2D, parts that are on national backorder will be referred to dealers that have inventory for shipment to the ordering dealers. Both E and R backorders are eligible. A full explanation of the program and how it works is provided to you in the welcome kit along with frequently asked questions. If you have other questions or concerns, they can be referred to either OEConnection or the Hyundai Dealer Support Call Center. Contact information is in the welcome kit.
Non-pilot dealers will receive welcome kits towards the end of April and be contacted by OEConnection at the beginning of May. Please be patient because it will take several weeks to get to everybody. This new program is easy to use and will increase parts availability plus provide you with the opportunity to earn incentives for shipping parts. It’s a win-win for everyone. We look forward to your participation.
Pilot Dealers
Designated pilot dealers can expect to receive a welcome kit from OEConnection this week with all the materials needed to get started. Next week OEConnection will contact you to provide training on how to use the system. Following this training, you will be activated in their system. You will access D2D Express through a link in the parts area of Hyundai Dealer.com. All this information and more will be covered in the training that you will receive.
Restrictions
Please note that you will not be able to access the D2D system through HyundaiDealer.com until you have been trained and activated by OEConnection!
Thule Bike Rack Safety Recall
A safety recall has been issued for "Hitch Mounted Bicycle Racks" sold during 2005 through 2007. CONSUMERS SHOULD STOP USING THESE RACKS IMMEDIATELY and contact Thule at 800-THULE-91 (800-848-5391) between the hours of 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
A dealer letter and point of sale poster providing have been sent to all Hyundai dealerships. The Posters are 8 ½ x 11 and are in acrylic display stands, quantity two (2) per dealer. The stands are reusable. Each dealership shipment is clearly identified as follows: “Accessory Recall Information Enclosed.”
