Genesis Parts Ordering Process
Hyundai Motor America is pleased to announce that Genesis Sedans have started to be released to our dealers. This will draw a new type of customer with much higher expectations into many of our dealerships. Therefore we have a special parts order process set up to facilitate the best possible ownership experience for these customers.
Customer Orders
Submit as an E-order. Non-air eligible parts should be submitted as an SPL.
- Genesis unique parts will primarily ship from the Chicago PDC.
- Sheetmetal and other ‘bulky’ parts will be stocked at each facing PDC to help facilitate damage free and fast shipment.
Handling Fees
SmartStock dealers will NOT be charged a handling fee for Genesis unique parts (p/n with dealer stocking code of “C”). Handling fees will still apply to non-unique Genesis parts (i.e. if the parts can be applied to many different models).
E-Order Cut-off Times (Ontario, CA PDC Facing Dealers)
Until D2D is used to refer emergency Genesis orders, in order to get sameday shipping the E-order must be submitted by 3pm CENTRAL standard time (1pm PST).
Will Call Hours (Chicago, IL PDC Facing Dealers)
Will call hours for dealers facing the Chicago PDC will be extended to 3pm CST.
Stock Orders
Gennesis parts for stocking purposes should be submitted with your regular stock order. All order types will automatically refer if no stock of Genesis unique parts is available at your facing PDC.
Dealer to Dealer Order (D2D)
In July, the fastest moving mechanical parts will be stocked at a limited number of dealers in each major market area. Dealer E-orders for Genesis parts will be routed to these stocking dealers the same day through Hyundai’s D2D program. The stocking dealer will provide same-day delivery for e-orders submitted before 11am local time in the Hyundai Parts System.
Back Orders
Parts Supply will closely monitor dealer back orders for Genesis unique parts and expedite with our supplier. The dealer support group (800-545-4515) will run reports in Siebel twice each week to track open dealer inquiries for order status. XVORs for Genesis parts will be transmitted to our supplier as needed.
