Chrome Wheel Core Charges

Core Charge No Longer Applies

In addition to the Azera chrome wheel (p/n U8400-3L220), Sonata (p/n U8400-3K340 & U8400-3K342) and Santa Fe (p/n U8400-2B185) chrome wheel core charges will no longer apply—effective May 18th, 2009. This means the Azera, Sonata, and Santa Fe factory takeoff wheels are not eligible for a core return to the chromer (HiTech) or HMA PDCs.

Existing Cores in Dealer Stock

Any existing wheel cores that you are currently holding in inventory, can be returned to HiTech for credit until the following dates:

  • Azera cores due June 1, 2009
  • Sonata and Santa Fe cores due June 30, 2009

Any Azera, Sonata, or Santa Fe wheel cores received after the above dates will be returned to the dealer and no credit will be issued.

Existing Chrome Wheels in Dealer Stock

Dealers have until the above dates to return any chrome wheels (not cores) currently in dealer stock to their facing PDC to receive credit. The return should be submitted as a TR type. Remember to include a copy of the claim with your return, and use the most inexpensive means available to return the parts back to your facing PDC.

Future Customer Orders

Chrome Wheel Program

You can still order chrome wheels for these vehicles, but you will not be assessed a core charge, and you get to keep the factory takeoff wheels.

Veracruz Cores Still Eligible

New HSI Program Brings Great Insight

The new HSI Customer Satisfaction tracking program is launched and in just the month of April we heard from over 25,000 service customers.

Some insights of interest include:

  • While 5 out of 10 service customers say they are “definitely” likely to purchase or lease another Hyundai in the future, there’s 5 more that aren’t totally on board. Those 5 customers are critical for Hyundai and your business and we need to reach out to them and change their perceptions.
  • For 7 out of 10 service customers, “definitely” recommending Hyundai is a no brainer. But, what about the 3 customers that just won’t budge? How can we sway them to talk up the brand and your dealership when in conversation with other prospective customers?

Get pointers on what these customers seek from a visit to your Hyundai Service Department by checking out the Verbatim Comments on powerkatalyst.jdpa.com, specifically their answers to the question “How can we exceed your expectations in the future?” This will give you insight on how to improve the entire customer experience to ensure greater likelihood to “definitely” purchase from and “definitely” recommend your dealership.

Again, you can access these verbatim comments (T10 Verbatim Monthly Report) and more at powerkatalyst.jdpa.com using your case sensitive dealer login.
