IQS Season Reminders
IQS Season Second Half
This is a reminder that the IQS sales season just passed its halfway point. As you probably know, customers of 2011 MY vehicles sold between Nov. 1 and Feb. 28 may be sampled by JD Power and Associates for the annual Initial Quality Study (IQS). Our goal is to be among the Top 3 this year, and win Best in class trophies to help drive our business.
In order to do achieve this goal it is crucial for to have a solid PDI process. Make sure the PDI checklist is thoroughly completed, filled out and retained. A few key items are:
- Make sure the car is free from dents, dings and scratches
- Set tire pressure to 2 PSI above label pressure to minimize unnecessary TPMS lights
- Road test vehicle at least 10 minutes (5-10 miles), include highway speed if possible
- For the new 2011 Elantra: Make sure that the IOD switch in the junction box is set to “ON” position
- Set NAV system to home state (if equipped)
- Check for any outstanding recalls or campaigns on WebDCS. Make sure NO vehicles have open campaigns when sold!
- Make sure the vehicle is equipped with a Quick Reference Guide (QRG). The vehicle QRG is an essential tool for customer delivery and to help customer understand features.
Delivering perfect vehicles will not only help customer satisfaction and loyalty, but a successful IQS results will also improve our brand quality reputation and will lead to increased Sales and Service business!
Campaign Completions
We have made great strides in completing quality campaigns before initial product delivery, but we still have a long way to go. We need your help to ensure that all open campaigns are complete before vehicles are delivered to customers. This is one of the ways that we are building market share by improving quality.
2011 Service Rental Car Policy & Procedures
The new 2011 Service Rental Car (SRC) Policy & Procedures is now available on HyundaiDealer.com. Login to HyundaiDealer.com and navigate to Documents/Resources under the Service section. The new P&P has the latest discount payment amounts. Take advantage of the increased discount payment for Genesis as well as the increase in daily warranty reimbursement when used for Genesis and Equus warranty repairs. Equus will soon be eligible for SRC allocation. Look for an update on this in the coming months!
