2011 Parts & Service Co-op Guidelines
We are pleased to provide you the 2011 Parts & Service Co-op Advertising Guidelines.
HMA provides Co-op funding to our dealers to actively promote Genuine Hyundai Parts and Services through advertising and promotional activities. Below is a summary of the 2011 Parts & Service Co-op Advertising Program:
- Dealership must be enrolled in the Hyundai Owner Connect Marketing Program to receive 2011 Parts & Service Marketing Co-op funds.
- Co-op funds will be provided on a quarterly basis, using the previous quarter’s purchases and co-op utilization rate to determine the level of funding.
- Funds must be spent in the quarter that they are allocated and claims must be submitted no later than 45 days after the month in which the ad runs.
- Dealers can receive 50% Co-Op reimbursement up to dealers’ available Co-op funds. Third party vendor submissions for Retail Parts & Service Direct Marketing communications that fall within the scope of the HOCM program are not eligible for Co-op reimbursement.
- Current account balance and claim status can be viewed through a website link on Hyundaidealer.com. Access is from the Parts screen. The link is located on the left side of the screen and is entitled Parts & Service Co-op Claims.

Service Sells Cars
Great news! We are thrilled to report that we exceeded our Service Sells Cars (SSC) goal of 5,200 by 19% with a grand total of 6,180 SSC sales in 2010. We implemented several key initiatives to achieve this goal, including: (1) Migrated away from manual submission process to an automated online form, which resulted in a 67% lift in sales over prior months; (2) Launched SSC sweepstakes contest through Hyundai STAR Awards platform, which resulted in an initial record high month of 738 SSC sales in September. That record was since shattered with the stellar performance of 749 SSC sales in December!

Accessory Reminder: MY 2010/2011 Santa Fe Tow Hitch Rating
2010 and 2011 Santa Fes are rated to tow a trailer up to a maximum weight of 3500 lbs (with 3.5L engine, trailer package and trailer brakes). The available tow hitch (with 1.25” receiver) has been validated and tested to tow a 3500 lb trailer without issue.
Keep in mind the following:
- Maximum towing WITHOUT trailer brakes:
- 2.4 & 3.5 Engines: 1653 lbs
- Maximum towing WITH trailer brakes:
- Without trailer package
- 2.4 &3.5 Engines: 2000 lbs
- With trailer package
- 2.4 Engine: 2800 lbs
- 3.5 Engine: 3500 lbs
