Accessories Warranty Enhancement
Applicable to 2012 Model Year Vehicles and Beyond
We are pleased to announce a great enhancement to our accessories warranty. Starting with 2012 model year vehicles, whether installed before or after retail delivery of the vehicle, accessories will be covered for the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. This warranty only applies to accessories installed by an authorized Hyundai dealer. Under the 2011 warranty, accessories were covered for one year or 12,000 miles if installed by a Hyundai dealer after delivery of the vehicle. Take advantage of this enhanced warranty to boost accessory sales on the service drive!

2012 New Technology Instructor Led Training
The 2012 New Technology instructor led training (ILT) is now available. Students attending this 2-day ILT will receive 10,000 STAR Awards points at the completion of the class. Logon to TACS to view available class dates.

Tecklinks Symptoms Available On All 2011-2012 Models
Great News! Tecklinks Symptoms is now available for all 2011 and 2012 Hyundai models. As you will recall from last week’s article, Tecklinks Symptoms uses the vehicle VIN to help diagnose and recommend up-to-the minute repairs for that vehicle. Just click the Tecklinks button on the GDS home page and Tecklinks begins.
Since Tecklinks is constantly updating, it is recommended that you use your GDS for every vehicle that comes in. Not only can it help diagnose and repair, but it will also alert you to any outstanding service campaigns or recalls on the vehicle and provide any applicable TSBs right at your fingertips.

Tips for the Road Brochures are on Their Way!
Hyundai is proud to announce our Tips for the Road series brochures. They are designed to enhance your customers’ driving experience by offering information about Hyundai systems and driving in general. Giving your customers the helpful tips found in the brochures will sustain your relationship with them--bolstering both customer satisfaction and retention.
We are sending an initial sample quantity of all six currently available titles to Dealer Service Managers. Additional copies of these brochures will be available through the Print on Demand (POD) website accessible from the Featured Programs tab in the Hyundai Parts and Service Newsletter, or by clicking here. Please place these brochures in your Service waiting area when they arrive.

Parts Orientation Webinars – 2012 dates now on TACS
The 2012 dates for the Parts Orientation Webinar are now on the Training and Certification System (TACS). Just sign-on to TACs, click the Parts Orientation Webinar button on your Parts home page and select the session date you would like to attend. Remember, this webinar is required for the Parts Manager Bronze Certification.

GDS Internet Update - Version 1.12.09
An internet update for your GDS unit is now available.
In order to update to version 1.12.09 your GDS unit requires the latest DVD, version 1.12.00, to be installed.
The GDS unit will search for internet updates automatically when ever the GDS program is started or the “Internet Update” button is pressed.
The GDS internet update will contain the following ECU update event:
- 262 BH 3.8 GDI P2422 DTC Logic Improvement
